Hitwise : Facebook and Twitter Get Even More Famous

According to a survey conducted Hitwise, Facebook has shown significant improvement. Compared to last year, Facebook members had increased 194 percent.

Reporting via Yahoo Tech, Tuesday (13/10/2009), in September and Facebook claims to have successfully reached 58.6 percent interest in social networking. This figure increased almost twice the gains in the same month last year. While Twitter members increased 1.170 percent than last year.

Facebook started showing kemapanannya with Regine Velasquez for that. The reason, in September 2008 Facebook market share reached only 19.94 percent. In contrast to the social networking site owned by News Corp., MySpace. In September last year, MySpace market share reached 66.8 percent. Twitter is currently in fourth position, behind Tagged.com. Last year, Twitter is only 0.5 percent over the social networking market in the United States. While this year's Twitter could reach 1.84 percent. In the fifth position is MyYearbook.com.

However, Hitwise found many people prefer to spend time on MySpace than Facebook. According to the research firm, the average Internet user spent 25 minutes 56 seconds on MySpace. This figure had dropped approximately 3.5 minutes. While many Facebook users can only spend 23 minutes.

Though quite far behind Tagged.com by MySpace and Facebook, but in the affairs of their time is spent right in the middle of both. The Tagged.com penngguna spent 25 minutes 17 seconds. While Twitter users spent approximately 15 minutes and 52 seconds into the fifth position.
